Ober Da Bakod (Baguio vol. 2)

Day 1: Ober Da Bakod (Lunch)

After we have visited the strawberry farm of Baguio City, we ate our late lunch at Ober Da Bakod. You can actually find this just beside the Country Club where horses are parked.

Ober Da Bakod serves filipino dishes that really suites the taste of Filipino tourist their, oops, also the foreigners that's craving for something unfamilliar.

It's like a typical "carinderia" because of the arrangement of the things inside of it. Fyi, you won't even believe that rich people from the country club who plays golf also eat here.

Ober Da Bakod have been in newspapers already because of their typical but palatable delicacy.

I am 100 % sure that they can make their place much more look modern, but as what my mom said, the place was known because of that style so why would they change it just to fit into the modern days? They're trying to preserve their old days theme..

Here are the dishes that we have ordered:

Bulalo that is costs for 220 pesos. The meat is so soft that you can actually slide down it to your throat. The hot soup is best with the climate that Baguio have.

Lechon Kawali that is costs for 180 pesos. This is so OMG! See the skin at the top of the meat? It was so crunchyyyy!

Hipon that is costs for I don't know. I didn't tried to taste the hipon because I'm not in the mood to eat it.

Admittedly, we were so happy after eating those delicacies. Aren't it obvious in that picture? I guess not.

If you will be having a getaway in Baguio, why not try to visit and eat in that not typical carinderia?

I would like to thank my Kuya again and again for the pictures that I used in this post. Credits again!

CARPE DIEM!
