Vigan Getaway (throwback)

Calle Crisologo

This time, I would like to share my experiences of being transported back to the Philippines Spanish Colonial time. Everybody wants to experience strolling amd taking photos in the famous Calle Crisologo. Let me tell you my experiences way back then. I've been in Vigan for almost 3 times, but my last visit was last year.

Transportation:

We rode Partas bus from Laoag, Ilocos Norte. That Vigan trip was sponsored by my Kuya. So I didn't had a hard time spending so much money. 2-3 hours of journey from Laoag in the day.

Vigan City tour:

First, we walk through Calle Crisologo to explore the site and to have a pictures with the breathtaking sceneries of the old built houses. It is what Vigan City is known for-streets lined with Spanish Era ancetral houses. A walk to Calle Crisologo is more enjoyable especially in the day because of the oppurtunity to shop for Vigan's best product (crafts, t-shirt, abel woven products, antiques, vinegar, etc.) in the shops located on the ground floor of the houses.

Where to eat:

After a long hours of walking, we ate our late lunch in one of the best restaurants in Calle Crisologo. Tummy talk restaurant is housed in one one of the ancestral houses in the street. Outside it looks like a typical house or a museum but it's actually a restaurant inside! For a cup of rice choose vegetable and a meat or fish then your value meal is complete! Tummy talk restaurant is such a good place to make your tummy full, the ambiance is so good that you wanted to go back again!

Souvenirs:

You'll find tons of goodies along the way of Calle Crisologo. My vigan t-shirt was paid by my ever loving kuya. My sponsor for that day. I bought key chains for my friends in Manila. Yeah, I didn't spend so much for the key chains, it was so cheap, it is usually cost 10 pesos each, not bad! It's so hard to find souvenirs because you can't decide on what item you will buy. I think, the best souvenir to have is t-shirts.It rocks!

I'm really grateful that I have my family to be with in this kind of journey! Vigan getaway will always be the best historical site that I've visited. From the sceneries to the food and also the people from there!

I would like to thank my kuya Archer for the photos, credits to you.
Even if you he does not know that I used his pictures for my blog today. Haha.
Nice shots!

It's really hard to allot time to blog because of my errands in school. 1st week of classes is stressing me out. My next post will be Pagudpud getaway! Love love.
